High pass percentage in Assam HS results

Guwahati: The results of all streams – science, arts and commerce – of the state-board conducted higher secondary examinations were declared in Assam on Monday

The results witnessed high percentage of successful candidates in all the three streams.

As many as 85.58 per cent students cleared the HS examinations in science stream, followed by 81.17 per cent in commerce and 70.23 per cent in arts.

Minakshi Kakoti of KKH junior college of Pathsala and Anindita Chakraborty of Salt Brook Academy of Dibrugarh stood first in the arts stream.

The top positions in science and commerce streams were notched by Sankhya Chakraborty and Jugalkishore Rathi, both of Ramauj Gupta junior college in Silchar.

The exams were conducted by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council in February-March this year. (UNI)
