Unlike many celebrities who try to hide

a painful break-up, Katy Perry has included a revealing footage of her split with Russell Brand in her new documentary film `Part Of Me`.

The warts-and-all movie shows the singer crying as her marriage to Brand falls apart, the Daily Express reported.

“I think if people walked out of the theatre and that part of the film was completely avoided, they would be like, ‘Well, there’s an elephant in the room that’s still there’,” explained the 27-year-old singer whose divorce from Brand becomes official on July 14.

“I like to go out there looking like a strong woman because I am strong. But I am also a woman who goes through all kinds of problems and highs and lows. I wanted to show the complete spectrum,” Katy told Parade magazine.

She is certain that her life is like a “very modern fairy tale” but insists that she can achieve happiness without finding her “Prince Charming”. The `I Kissed a Girl` hitmaker was left heart broken last year when her short-lived marriage to comedian Russell Brand collapsed, and they split in December after just 14 months as man and wife.

She has since been linked to Florence and the Machine rocker Robert Ackroyd, but Perry is adamant she doesn’t need a man to make her life complete. “I’ve learnt I’m in a very modern fairy tale. But I also know I don’t need the Prince Charming to have a happy ending. I can make the happy ending myself… But I still like London boys… except one,” the Daily Express quoted her as telling the Daily Mirror newspaper. Perry is also keen to start a family in the future, although she admits she still has some growing up to do herself before she becomes a mum.

“I want to be a mother but now’s not the right time. A baby can’t have a baby, and I’m still a baby,” she added. (ANI)
