TURA: The A’chik Youth Welfare Organization (AYWO) expressed their support for the agitators for the Langpih border issue and stated that the organisation salutes the fast-unto-death activist Pynskhemlang Nongshlong on behalf of the A’chik (Garo) brothers in Garo Hills.

AYWO said that the organisation is extending their strongest support to the agitators for the Langpih cause and the on-going fast-unto-death agitation.

“Though we could not be fasting along with them there physically, we extend our heartiest moral support and salute these heroic agitators and all who are involved in this agitation,” said Adinson Ch Momin, president of AYWO.

Stating that the organisation strongly condemns the silent, unrelenting and merciless attitude of the Meghalaya Government over this issue which has already crossed the 10-day mark with several agitators being hospitalised, AYWO said, “It is totally unexpected from the Government of Meghalaya and we strongly condemn such attitude.”

“We pray that God may take care of the health of the agitators and bless them with the fulfillment of their demands,” Momin added.

AYWO has also urged the Meghalaya Government to address the long-pending Langpih issue immediately without any delay and spare the people of any fake or false promises.
