NONGPOH: Taken aback with sudden decision of the Nongpoh Town Committee (NTC) to shift the auto stand in Nongpoh Town, the auto rickshaw drivers plying in areas of Pahambir and Nongkhrah on Wednesday registered their strong opposition to the decision.
Opposing the move to shift the stand from Lad Mawroh to a place near the new market complex, the auto rickshaw drivers gheraoed the office of the NTC.
The NTC members later assured to look into the matter by convening a meeting on Monday.
