Car lifters arrested

 NONGSTOIN: Three people have been arrested in connection with the stolen Mahindra Maxx from Mairang on the 15th of June, 2012.

Tanborzine Tympuin (28), Jubon (24) and Bonlestar Tympuin (24) were handed over to the Police by the villagers of Seijlieh in Nongstoin on Friday.

Tanborzine and Bonlestar are sons of the headman of Seijlieh Pero Nongseij. Pero and were detained by the Nongstoin Police Station after the stolen vehicle was recovered from his Saw Mill at Seijlieh. Pero, on Friday was sent to Mairang Police Station for further investigation.

Some of the vehicle parts like the doors, dashboard, tyres and other parts of the vehicle’s body were recovered from a jungle in Seijlieh. The parts had been thrown into some bushes to conseal them but some of the villagers found the parts and informed the Police about it.

It may be reminded that the vehicle was found in the saw mills of the headman, Pero beneath the saw dust with the engine and several parts missing. The engine was recovered from the jeep of the headman of which he claimed to be ignorant. Villagers of Seijlieh had told the police that the sons of the headman could be involved in the theft.
