SHILLONG: The Mahari clan has denied the allegation against its clan member Martin Marak, who was the Officer-in-Charge of Dangar-Balat police station, for instigating the villagers to threaten one Johnson Marak of Joiram village in Balat, East Khasi Hills on suspicion of practicing black magic earlier this year. “Due to the false allegation, he (Marak) was transferred to Shillong which has maligned his reputation,” the clan said in a statement issued here on Sunday.
