The names for the sequels of ‘Thor’ and ‘Captain America’ have been announced by Marvel at the Comic-Con in San Diego.
In addition to revealing the titles — ‘Thor: The Dark World’ and ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ — Marvel announced two new films in the works during what was ostensibly a panel devoted to Iron Man 3 at the event.
The Disney-owned studio also announced that Guardians of the Galaxy—featuring Rocket Raccoon, Star-Lord, Draxx the Destroyer, Groot and Gamora is on tap for August 1, 2014 and that an Ant-Man movie was also in pipeline.
“I’m taking the Terrence Malick approach when it come to superheroes,” E! Online quoted Edgar Wright as saying.
He had been referring to the lengthy period of time that he’s been supposedly working on the script and name-checking a director who takes a notoriously long time between his films.
“I did shoot a test, this is true. You guys wouldn’t want to see the unfinished test, would you?” Wright said. The footage screened featuring a fully costumed Ant-Man lasted for about 30 seconds with the character going from big to small, big to small, big to small while simultaneously battling two apparently nefarious security guards.
“Ant-Man will kick your ass, one inch at a time,” Wright added. (ANI)
