 SHILLONG: A truck parked on the side of the road at Kynton Basa under Mawryngkneng, East Khasi Hills was hit by a night super bus (ASOIDD – 6309) travelling towards Silchar from Guwahati.

The driver Lokhi Borah (50) and a passenger A. Das (53) received minor injuries in the accident that took place on Friday morning.

In another accident, a passenger bus traveling towards Mahendraganj from Tura went off the road and into a drain on the side of the road at Chilipara, West Garo Hills on Friday.

Two persons identified as Rafipul Saq (29) and Navan Sangma (110 were shifted to Ampati CHC and then to Tura Civil Hospital for treatment.

David Jamir sustained injuries after he was hit by a TATA sumo while standing on the side of the road near Tariang petrol pump at Mawiong Rim on Friday.
