SHILLONG: A ladies bag created a bomb scare in the State Secretariat on Thursday afternoon. Security personnel deployed at the Secretariat went into a tizzy after the bag was noticed lying unclaimed in one of the ladies toilets of the building. A bomb squad was immediately pressed into service. As the cops were trying to open the bag, the owner of the bag (one woman) appeared in the scene to claim it. A senior police official later said that the woman, who works as a cleaner in the Secretariat, had forgotten to take the bag after keeping it in the toilet.
