SHILLONG: The Department of Agriculture in collaboration with the Zonal Project Directorate, Zone III, ICAR NEH organised a one-day orientation cum workshop on Tuesday last for the newly recruited Subject Matter Specialists and Farm Managers of the three Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) of East Khasi Hills, West Khasi Hills and Jaintia Hills Districts under the Directorate of Agriculture as the host organisation.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr R B Dympep, Director of Agriculture as the chief guest in the presence of Dr. A K Gogoi, Zonal Project Director ICAR-NEH as the guest of honour apart from other officials from the Agriculture Department and Programme Coordinators of the respective KVKs.
While giving his keynote address, Dr. Gogoi stressed on the importance of the KVKs in rapid dissemination of scientific technology to the farmers.
