Landslides hamper road communication in Nagaland

Kohima: The Road connectivity between Kohima and Zunheboto via Chozuba under Phek district, has been cut off since August 7 due to severe landslides.

According to sources here on Sunday, severe landslides near Thenyizu village between Chakhabama-Chetheba disrupted the normal traffic since Tuesday last.

Moreover, at least four or five places between Chetheba- Chozuba, Dzulha under Phek district had also been reportedly affected. Source said due to the disruption of the traffic, people along this highway route had been suffering.

Heavy vehicles carrying essential commodities and the community buses were unable to pass through this route for the past many days. The Chokri Area Public Organisation (CAPO) president Vezhosa Chuzho and Chozuba Range Public Organisation (CRPO) president (UNI)
