Shillong: After much delay, the UDP has decided to field HB Nongsiej (Brol) from Mawthadraishan in the assembly election due in 2013.
Informing this here on Tuesday, UDP working president Paul Lyngdoh said the party’s election committee took the decision to put up Nongsiej from Mawthadraishan after proper scrutiny of the ticket aspirants.
With the announcement of Nongsiej’s name, the UDP now has announced names of 25 candidates for the upcoming elections in the state.
