Medicine, liquor seized

BSF personnel deployed in East Khasi Hills on Sunday seized 48 bottles of phensedyl near Hathimara. In another incident, BSF troops at Nongjuri seized 60 bottles of liquor which were being smuggled to Bangladesh. The seized items have been handed over to the concerned Department for disposal.

Office bearers

The Dalu United Christian Forum (DUCF) held a meeting recently at Dalu, West Garo Hills in which the Forum inducted its new office bearers. Rev. Shalim M Marak was inducted as president while Helwin Ch Marak, Dalu Pentecostal Church, Rev. Fr. Benoy Joseph, Parish Priest, Dalu Catholic Church, Pastor Jemuel M Marak, Hope for the Nations Ministries and Rajesh M Marak, Pastor, Dalu Dapgre Baptist Church were inducted as vice president, secretary, joint secretary and treasurer respectively. Also two members from each denomination from in and around Dalu area were inducted as representatives.
