JOWAI: At least six persons were injured after the tourist vehicle (Tata Sumo) in which they were travel was hit by a truck on Army duty coming from the opposite direction at Riat-turiem near Jowai here on Saturday evening.
The truck coming from Agartala hit the Tata Sumo (of Shangpung Cooperative Society) while it was proceeding to Shangpung from Shillong.
Ummulong Police arrested the driver who tried to flee with his truck after the accident.
