Bomb found at LS MP’s house

IMPHAL: The residence of Lok Sabha MP from Manipur Dr Th Meinya came under a serious bomb threat from suspected militants on Friday.

A powerful bomb wrapped in a plastic bag was found placed at the courtyard of the Lok Sabha MP’s house at Moidangpok Joypur Khunou under Patsoi Police Station in Imphal West at around 9 am.

The motive behind the bomb threat was not clear and that the family of the MP declined to comment on it. However, Dr Meinya was not at home when the incident happened.

A police team from Patsoi police rushed to the site and retrieved the bomb at around 10:30 am. The police said investigation has begun into the incident. (NNN)
