NSS foundation Day
The National Service Scheme (NSS) NEHU will organise a day long programme to celebrate the 43rd Foundation Day of NSS on Monday at the Multi-use Convention Centre, NEHU from 10am onwards. The vice chancellor of NEHU Prof AN Rai will be present as the chief guest.
Dance programme
The Shillong Surnandan, Laban in collaboration with Manipuri Nartanalaya, Kolkata will organize a dance programme ‘Ananta Dhara’, an Anthology of Tagorean creations by Manipuri Nartanalaya, under the direction of Guru Kalavati Devi on Sunday at 4.30pm at Anton Hall, Laitumkhrah.
Unclaimed body
One, Alan Pyngrope (49), a coolie from Iew Mawlong in Iewduh was admitted in the Civil hospital on August 19 and died on September 2. Relatives are asked to collect the body within three days failing of which the dead body will be send for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board.
MPSC cell
The Meghalaya Public Service Commission Cell has been set up in Ri Bhoi in the office of the deputy commissioner of Ri Bhoi at Nongpoh in room no. 112 (A) with effect from September 17.
