SHILLONG: A Meghalaya police constable was seriously injured when he accidentally shot himself in the stomach while cleaning his SLR rifle loaded with ammunition on Wednesday morning. According to the police, the armed branch constable Appu Pathaw was posted as a security guard at State Bank of India (Main Branch) Shillong. He has been rushed to civil hospital and his condition was stated to be stable.
