Nongpoh: The Hynniewtrep National Youth Federation (HNYF), Nongpoh circle, has seized over 100 liters of IMFL during a surprise checking.

The HNYF earlier issued a warning to all the local wine shop asking them not to sell liquor in Nongpoh and other surrounding areas on Holy days like Sunday.

However, a few wine shop owners did not pay heed to this warning and continued their business especially on Sundays.

HNYF, Nongpoh Circle Vice President Marcus Marten while speaking to this scribe informed that despite the warning some wine shop owners continued their business by selling liquor in Nongpoh on Sundays. The organistion seized liquor over 100 liters during an operation, he said.

“The organization will continue this checking in Nongpoh,” he said.
