Inter-school competition held at Thadan

 SHILLONG: Marius Rosina Memorial LP School, Mawber and Thadan Presbyterian Upper Primary were declared the ‘best schools’ during an inter-school competition organised by the Mawber Cluster Resource Centre (CRC) under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan along with the Thadan Village Employment Council (VEC), at Thadan on Tuesday.

Seven schools from the area participated in the competition organised to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Speaking on the occasion, Congress ticket aspirant for Mawynkynrew constituency, Banteidor Lyngdoh, recalled the contributions of the Father of the Nation in India’s Independence movement. He also urged the students not to neglect their studies since it would help them achieve their goals in life.

Later, prizes were awarded to the winners of different competitions like quiz, elocution and dancing.
