Hopingstone meets arrested HANM member

 NONGSTOIN: Nongstoin MLA Hopingstone Lyngdoh visited the arrested member of HANM, Kodious Thongni at Lokhra Central Jail in Assam on Friday.

Thongni was booked under various sections of IPC for his alleged involvement in the burning of the Assam Police Outpost at Jirang.

Lyngdoh, who was accompanied by the MDCs of Jirang and Rambrai-Jyrngam, assured the HANM member that everything possible is being done to ensure his early release.

The MLA and the two MDCs, Artis Rani and K P Pangniang, also met Ephrim Nongseij of Langpih who was arrested in August this year.

Hopingstone also promised that the best lawyers would be hired to fight the inmates’ case.
