Mathematics Day
Shillong Jail Road Boys’ Higher Secondary school is celebrating Mathematics Day on Wednesday in the school premises, on account of National Year of Mathematics, to commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of the great mathematician S Ramanujan.
Platinum jubilee
The closing ceremony of the DNS Wahlang platinum Jubilee celebration will be held on October 20 at 11 am at Dinam Hall. Assembly Speaker Charles Pyngrope will be the chief guest.
Annual procession
The Annual Marian Procession of the Visitation Church, Mawprem Parish, will be held on October 21. The programme will begin with the holy mass at 10 am to be followed by a procession at 1.30 pm.
Training prog
A 5-day basic course for commissioners was organized by the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides at its head quarter in Pine mount Ridge. 23 voluntary commissioners, comprising of senior members, government officials and heads of different institutions from all the districts attended the course.
Pre-Puja function
The monitoring cum implementation committee organized a pre-Durga Puja Celebration 2012 attended by various Puja committees at the community hall of Raid Laban Sports Social and Cultural Organization, Kench’s Trace on Sunday.
