Awareness prog
Tirot Sing Memorial College, Nongstoin organized a three-day awareness cum training programme on Disaster Management from Monday to Wednesday on the College premises. The programme was organized by the Programme Officer, NSS Unit of the College in collaboration with the District Disaster Management Authority, Nongstoin. A mock drill on earthquake and evacuation were also organized.
Medical camp
Health and Social Outreach Committee of the Unitarian Church Jowai, in collaboration with Roko Cancer Charitable trust, Civil Hospital Shillong will organise a one-day free medical checkup cum cancer detection camp on Saturday from 10am to 2pm at the Unitarian Church campus Iawmusiang, opposite JHADC.
Office bearers
The FKJGP Upper Shillong Circle has elected new office bearers of the FKJGP Mawkriah Unit with Ephransing Khongsit as president, Venuswell Langstieh as vice president, Over Shabong as general secretary, Elvest Khongsit as assistant general secretary, besides others.
Annual Day
The St. George HS School, Nongmynsong will celebrate its 21st Annual Day on Friday at 3.30pm in the school. Director General of Police N Ramachandran will be the chief guest.
Biblical play
Rympei Theatrical Centre, Shillong will stage U Khun Sarong Awria (Prodigal Son), a Biblical play in Khasi on October 24 at Don Bosco Technical School, Laitumkhrah, Shillong at 3 pm.
