TURA: The All Garo Hills Adhoc Primary School Teacher Association (AGHALPSTA) held its 9th Annual General Conference recently at the Dadeng zone, Mahilla Manda UPS in Selsella.

The Conference was attended by members of Adhoc and SSA Lower Primary School teachers to discuss on issues concerning the Association. Chief Guest at the Conference, Conrad K Sangma while addressing the gathering said that the present salary of the Adhoc Lower Primary School Teachers is not enough considering the present costs and prices of basic necessities and that even a daily labourer earns a minimum of Rs 3000 per month.
