JOWAI: Jowai Police on Wednesday arrested Mar Snieh, one of the six accused in stealing of 34 sacks of paddy at Lumstong and Mookhnang villages under Elaka Nongjngi in West Jaintia hills District. Sources informed that police also seized a few numbers of sacks of paddy from the house of one Opas Snieh located at Jri-khla, Nongjngi.

It may be mentioned here that around 34 sacks of paddy including 19 from the paddy house of Bun Kam and 15 sacks from the paddy house of one Stand Mukhim was allegedly stolen by a group of six persons led by a government official, Darius Snieh of Ionglwit, Nongjngi.
