Explosive selling case

JOWAI:A chowkidar of an explosive storage magazine located at Shohrieh village in East Jaintia Hills was forced to sell the explosive materials to four unidentified persons.

According to the complaint lodged by the explosive license holder, British Dkhar of Rymbai village, four unidentified persons including two women came to the explosive storage magazine and forced the chowkidar to sell some explosive materials to them on October 25 and 29. “When the chowkidar refused to sell explosive materials, the miscreants threatened the chowkidar with dire consequences,” sources said adding that the price of the materials was paid to the chowkidar. Though police registered a case in this connection no one has been arrested so far.
