NONGSTOIN: The Nongstoin Regional Taxi Owners & Driver Association on October 5, filed an RTI to the Nongstoin Town Committee (NTC) for which the report came out on October 30 without any answer.

Donbor Dkhar General Secretary of the NRLTODA told on Sunday that the RTI was filed to get exact information regarding various schemes received by the NTC as well as their expenditure. The RTI sought information on the date since when the NTC started collecting parking lot fees at Nongstoin. Apart from this, they sought answers to facts like the rented price to the lease in a year. They wanted to know the amount collected in a year from parking lots and information on the schemes which was received in a year.

The RTI demanded that the NTC should give in detail the scheme from which a truck was bought. They demanded that the NTC should give the name of the truck driver and his salary. Among the other queries, the NTC was asked to give in details, the name of the cleaner of the parking lot also their salary and lastly they demanded that the NTC should provide the Xerox copy of the agreement made by the NTC and the New Nongstoin regarding the collection from the parking lot. Receiving no clear answers, the association has decided to hold a meeting on Monday to discuss the scam.
