 SHILLONG: The city court on Tuesday remanded six persons arrested in connection with the murder of one Losber Pyngrope (45) at Thangbnai village near Mawlyngngot in East Khasi Hills to 14 days judicial custody.

The arrested persons – Phrangsngi Pyngrope (23), Mong Pyngrope (23), Rojak Pyngrope (22), Philis Pyngrope (26), Speak Pyngrope (45) and Saian Kshiar (75) – allegedly murdered their relative Pyngrope on October 29 following a dispute over a plot of land.

The six accused were produced in court after their 7 days remand in police custody was over.

Meanwhile, police on Tuesday informed they would start recording the statement of witnesses since the murder case was witnessed by many of the villagers.
