Effective Women empowerment scheme called for

Itanagar: Central Social Welfare Board (CSWB) Executive Director S K Jha has called for effective implementation of the Integrated Scheme for Women Empowerment (ISWE) in North Eastern states.

Aimed to streamline the ISWE project implementation in the region, the training programme, organized by Arunachal Pradesh State Social Welfare Board (APSSWB) with the support of CSWB, is being attended by stakeholders such as Chairpersons and Secretaries of the State Social Welfare Boards of NE states, Mother NGOs, CBGs (community based groups), Project coordinators and field officers of state boards.

He also highlighted various other ongoing activities undertaken under the CSWB through the State Boards like Family Counselling Centre (FCC), Condensed Courses of Education for Adult Women (CCEAW), Rajiv Gandhi National Creche Scheme (RGNC), Awareness Generation Programme (AGP) and Short Stay Homes (SSH).
