Kohima: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has suggested all concerned government departments to overcome lacunae and improve performance in the implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS).
Addressing the day-long meeting of the Nagaland State Rural Employment Guarantee Council (NSREGC), State Vigilance and Monitoring Committee (SV&MC) and the Governing Body of the Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) held in his residential office on Friday, Mr Rio said implementation of the Centrally-Sponsored Schemes could be conveyed through communication or making submission to the department concerned.
Following presentations made by the Departments, the Chief Minister and Chairman of State Level Vigilance and Monitoring Committee, solicited that apart from having such formal meetings, has suggested for removal of lacunas and improve the performance on the implementation of the Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS).
The meeting discussed on timely release of state matching share under different programmes. The meetings were attended, among others, by the Parliamentary Secretary for Rural Development, S Pangnyu Phom, members of the committees and senior officials of all departments concerned.
In the meeting of NSREGC, the house discussed the implementation of MGNREGS and achievements thereof and reviewed issues pertaining to state matching share under the programme. (UNI)
