Rape

A 42-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday from Nongktieh village in South West Khasi Hills for allegedly raping his step daughters. The accused, Shimbor Lyngkhoi was arrested for committing the crime on his step daughters, aged 19 and 10 years, on Nov 19 and 25 last at their residence.

Theft

On Dec 1 at around 3 am, unknown miscreants stole Rs. 2,700/- and two cell phones from the house of one Aitinda Mawlieh at New Nongstoin. In this connection, police arrested one Shanborlin Marwein (20). A complaint was lodged at Songsak PS that on November 23, unknown miscreants stole GI pipes valued around Rs. 3,68,080 from Napak Songgital Water Supply Scheme (EGH).
