Ampareen conferred PhD

SHILLONG: Urban Affairs Minister M Ampareen Lyngdoh has been conferred with the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) by NEHU on Wednesday.

Lyngdoh has been conferred doctorate degree for her thesis “Influence of Media on Public Opinion during the periods of Social Unrest: A Study of Meghalaya”. She did her research under the supervision of Dr Moses M Naga and Dr P Hangsing. When contacted, Lyngdoh said it was very satisfying to be conferred with PhD degree after a hard work of over five years.

“I have finally accomplished the dream of my late father (PG Marbaniang),” she added.
