SHILLONG: In view of the upcoming Christmas Festival celebration, an additional parking lot at Police Bazar has been earmarked from December 22-24 at old Assembly premises.
In a statement issued here on Thursday, East Khasi Hills SP M Kharkrang said that the additional parking at old Assembly premises has been set up with the permission of the Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly
The State police have also urged the general public with vehicles to obey all the traffic rules and regulations and also not to park their vehicles haphazardly during the forthcoming Christmas Festival celebration.
“Violators of traffic rules will be penalized,” the statement from the SP added.
