SHILLONG: The general meeting of the North Shillong Block Mahila Congress met in the presence of president of the State Mahila Congress D War and selected office bearers including Glorinda Jyrwa as president, Niloufer Laloo and Merialdasngi Kharshiing as vice presidents, Sukhi Pariat as general secretary and Sinovia Pyngrope as treasurer, besides other office bearers and 36 executive members.
The meeting discussed issues pertaining to crimes against women which are on the rise in the State. The meeting also decided to extend full support to the candidature of Roshan Warjri, the Congress candidate from the 17 North Shillong constituency.
