SHILLONG: The Association of Qualified Grade-IV-2011, East Khasi Hills on Wednesday gave a two-day deadline to the State Government to extend the merit list of the qualified candidates who are eligible for appointment to the various posts under Grade IV.
“We would intensify our agitation if the Government failed to extend the merit list until all the 209 qualified get appointment. We have given the Government time till Thursday to extent the merit list,” Association general secretary Hughbert Sun told reporters after a meeting here.
Sun said they have also unanimously decided to boycott the upcoming 2013 Assembly election if the Government continues to ignore their demand.
Sun also informed that they have submitted representations to both Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma and Chief Secretary WMS Pariat on Wednesday.
