Battalion camp set up at Briwar

JOWAI: Following the frequent law and order problems in the Bri-war area which is one of the richest coal belt of East Jaintia Hills, the Meghalaya Police has set up a Battalion camp with a view to check on all kinds of crimes and other criminal activities in the area. A police official informed that the battalion camp has been temporarily set up in the area where land related crimes against the weaker sections are common.
