SHILLONG: Police on Sunday arrested five drug peddlers from Madanriting and seized heroin weighing 69.87 grams from their possession which were concealed in 60 small-sized golden tobacco tin cases.
The arrested persons have been identified as Niang Simte of Madanriting, Hginthian Siam and Nangnelam Simte of Kahilipara, Guwahati and Khamkap Simte and Vungaih Simte of Lamka, Churachandpur, Manipur.
Police also seized one scooter (ML 05 G 4089) and a car (AS 01 V 823).
