SHILLONG: Gone are the days when candidates come to your door steps to issue the voting identity slips just before the election as the Election Commission of India has come up with a new directive with regard to voting slips. Chief Electoral Officer P Naik on Tuesday said the Election Department will issue these slips to voters just two or three days before elections. According to him, some people might be appointed exclusively for the distribution of these photo voting identity slips.
