Chennai: The old ambience of Test match cricket is back again at the historic Chepauk here which is sprucing itself up again to host the first of the four Test match series between Australia and India from February 22.

The new look Aussie team had arrived in batches two weeks prior to the Test and have played in two warm-up games with poor results, however. They will be training for two more days at the stadium with captain Michael Clarke and head coach Mickey Arthur working out their playing XI.

The MS Dhoni-led Indian squad arrived on Tuesday evening.

Test cricket is returning to the Chepauk for the first time since 2008.

The two teams have played some thrilling Test matches at this venue, the most memorable being the tied Test in September 1986. (UNI)
