BSF apprehend FICN racketeer

SHILLONG: The BSF on Thursday recovered fake Indian currency of Rs 30,000 from the possession of one Adruf Mia, (40) a subject of Bangladesh, while he was trying to infiltrate into India along the border near East Khasi Hills district. According to BSF, the seized FICN of Rs 500 denomination was being smuggled from Bangladesh and was meant for circulation in the Indian market.

In another incident, BSF deployed in South West Khasi Hills apprehended one Bipon Sangma (32) and seized Vitamin-B tablets, wrist watch, Grameen phone recharge coupon- 148 Nos, a mobile phone among other items from his possession.
