Sexual assault

One minor boy (6) was sexually assaulted by Dilip Bastor (22) at Happy Valley on February 25 and after committing the crime, the accused fled away. The minor boy has been sent for medical examination and a case is being registered under protection of Child against sexual offences Act.

Raid conducted

Police on Wednesday arrested one Teij Nongsiej and Aiti Jana from Mawlonghat and seized 20,150 ml of IMFL.

Abduction and Assault

lOn February 26 at around 1.30 pm, three unidentified miscreants abducted one Ajay Das (46/M) of Badarpur, Karimganj, Assam from a restaurant at Bara Bazar, Shillong and took him to an unknown location where they looted him of Rs. 24,000. The miscreants also shot him on his lower abdomen. As a result, the victim sustained bullet injuries and was admitted at CH, Shillong. Matter is under investigation.

lOn February 26 at around 10.45 pm, unknown miscreants assaulted one Deepak Saikia (48/M) at Rynjah, Shillong. Matter is under enquiry.

lOne Tengsrang Ch. Marak lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on February 23 at about 9.30 pm, Challang Marak, Salman Marak and their accomplices assaulted him and his brother, Lapkin Marak at Aguragre (WGH). The accused also threatened them with dire consequences. As a result, the victims sustained injuries.

lOne Nickson Dohling lodged a complaint at Lumdiengjri PS that on February 22 at around 2.15 pm, one Specialist Nongtrai and his accomplices assaulted him at Mawprem, Shillong and also threatened him with dire consequences.

lOne Challang Marak lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on February 22 at around 11 pm, Tengsrang Ch. Marak and Rahul Sangma assaulted him with an iron rod. As a result, the victim sustained injuries.

lOne Poineh Langstang of Sahsniang village (WJH) lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on February 19 around 6.20 pm, one Dei Suiam assaulted Iowbaitmi Sutnga with a dao. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and removed to CH, Jowai.

Theft

On February 26 at about 6 pm, six unidentified miscreants looted Rs. 80,000 and one cell phone from one Alliash G. Momin at Rongrengpal village (SGH).

Vehicle seized

On February 19 at around 3:30 pm, residents of Adokgre village intercepted and detained five vehicles (AS-01DC-2104), (AS-18C-4808), (AS-01M-0122), (ML-07-5705) and (AS-18A-4436) loaded with timber. Later, the vehicles were handed over to the Police at Kharkutta OP.
