SHILLONG: The BSF Director General Subhash Joshi on Tuesday inaugurated the ‘Employment- Linked Vocational Training Programme’, a pioneer project undertaken by the BSF Wives Welfare Association (BWWA) at the Frontier Headquarter. The programme in collaboration with B-Able aims to provide employment-linked vocational training to the wards and families of BSF personnel so that at the end of training they are able to get employment. The wards are being trained in Basic IT, Retail Sales & Marketing and Personality development.
Meghalaya Frontier organized the first such programme last year in which 22 wards of BSF participated. It is worth mentioning that all of them got placements and are presently earning income ranging from Rs. 8,000 to Rs.10,000. The DG BSF appreciated the efforts taken by the Meghlaya Frontier with a hope that objective of the course will be fulfilled after completion.
