Vehicle missing

On March 20 at around 8 am, one Tata Sumo vehicle (ML-05H-0998) belonging to Merciful Syiem was found missing from her residence at Umlyngkdait in Ri Bhoi.

Havaldar dead

Battalion Havaldar Rongmin Marak who was camped in Khliehriat police station was found dead inside his barrack at Khliehriat, East Jaintia Hills. When contacted, East Jaintia Hills SP MK Dkhar said that there is no foul play in the incident and he was a very active guy. The police is awaiting the post mortem report of the deceased.

One dead

On March 19, one Elicius K. Sangma (30) was proceeding from Nangalbibra towards Goalpara in a recovery van (ML-09A-5834) driven by Ranjit Mahato. On reaching Gabil Bisa village (EGH) at around 4 am, Sangma was found dead inside the drivers cabin.

Kidnap attempt

One Wamsade Kaniwan Lakiang lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah police station that on March 19 at around 6.45 pm, Enas Ali Hazarika abused, attempted to kidnap and threatened her with dire consequences at Lumpyngad, Motinagar, Shillong.

Theft cases

W.L. Wahlang, Under Secretary, Govt. of Meghalaya lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar police station that on March 19 morning, four tyres and wheel caps were found missing from a vehicle (ML-01-1790) parked at GAD(B) Parking Lot, Shillong.

On March 19 at around 4.30 pm, miscreants broke into the house of Basanta Choudhury at Nongrim Road, Laitumkhrah, Shillong and stole one TV set.

On the night of March 18, miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08C-5098) belonging to Pabitra Ray Hajong from Fancy Valley, Tura in West Garo Hills.

Assault

On March 19 at 9.30 pm, miscreants assaulted Ravinder Singh at Pynthorbah, Shillong. As a result, he sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital, Shillong.

Forgery

One Phidolis Nongbri lodged a complaint at Ranikor police station that on March 17 at around 7.30 pm, two persons, Bikram and Raj Singh forcibly entered his house, assaulted his employee and looted money. They also forced his Manager Mikshon Swer to sign in a blank paper and threatened him with dire consequences.
