Shillong: The Siamsinpawlpi- Paite Students’ Welfare Organisation, Shillong organized a two-day National Seminar on the topic ‘Democratization Process and the Zomis’ at the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR-NERC), Shillong campus which concluded here on Wednesday.

The two-day seminar was sponsored by ICSSR-New Delhi and ICSSR-NERC Shillong.

The keynote address was delivered by Toki Blah, president of ICARE, Shillong.

Prominent scholars, civilian officers and social workers from different fields across the country participated in the seminar.

The seminar was conducted by the organisation as a part of its Golden Jubilee celebration.

The year-long celebration activities will culminate on October 2, 2013, which is the foundation day of the Paite Students’organisation, which was founded in Shillong in 1963.
