Theft

lOn April 1 at around 4 am, unknown miscreants broke into the MES Quarter of one A.G. Momin and stole one TV set, one computer and one LPG cylinder. O/C Rynjah PS is enquiring into the matter.

lOne Ksanborlang Pathaw lodged a complaint at Mawlai PS that on March 31 morning that unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-05J-6497) belonging to the Meghalaya Rural Development Society from his residence at Mawlai Mawdatbaki, Shillong.

Body recovered

lOn April 1 at around 6 am, one unidentified body was recovered from near District Council, Shillong. Necessary formalities have been observed.

lOn March 31 at around 12.10 pm, body of one Goldenstar Youroy (28) was recovered from Umshyrpi River (EKH). Necessary formalities have been observed. He was reportedly missing from his residence at Jaiaw Lumbatemon, Shillong since March 27.

Extortion

lOne Samebirth Marak, the secretary of the All Garo Hills Coal Truck Drivers’ Association lodged a complaint (March 30) at Williamnagar PS that staff of Coal Monopoly Market, Dobu (EGH), are illegally collecting Rs. 800 from each coal truck, which is higher than the rate prescribed by Garo Hills District Council.

Stone pelted

lOn March 29, a mob pelted stones at Police vehicle (ML-02-1162) at Nimaikata (WGH) damaging the windshield while Police were conducting enquiry into a road accident in which one motorcycle rider had died.

Assault

lOne Nikunju Das, driver of a truck (WB-11B-8376) lodged a complaint at Mawlai PS that on March 28 around 10 pm, two youths boarded his truck at Madanriting area. On reaching Mawiong, Shillong they assaulted the driver and his co-worker and looted Rs. 11,000. The assailants threw them out from the truck and drove away. As a result, the driver sustained injuries and shifted to CH Shillong. Later, the truck was recovered at Umiam (RB).

lOne Daskina Rupon lodged a complaint at Saipung PS that on March 23 at about 1.30 pm, one Edward Lyngwar along with 25 others armed with AK-47, pistol and SBBL gun, went to his coal quarry at Samasi area (EJH) in a Maruti Gypsy and assaulted his labourer, Nation Myrlia besides taking away Rs. 15,000 and one cell-phone. Later, they abducted the labourer but he managed to escape.

Arson

lOne Santosh R. Marak lodged a complaint at Williamnagar PS that on March 27 at about 3 pm, one woman, Lobika Marak set fire to the jungle at Pakmare (EGH). As a result, 70 rubber trees valued around Rs. 49,980/- were destroyed.

Threat

lOne Daplin Lamare lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on March 27 at about 10 pm, Damesheva Lamare threatened her family members with dire consequences, in her house at Dulong, Jowai (WJH).

Complaints

lOne Spiek Pyngrope and four others lodged a complaint at Madanriting PS on March 23 that the Sordar of Thangbnai, Raid Rngi, Khyrim Syiemship prevented the complainants from casting their votes in a Polling Station at Thangbnai village (EKH).

Arrest

lIn connection with the abduction of Albinus Nongsiej under Nongstoin PS in the month of March 2013, Police arrested one minor boy (16).
