SHILLONG: The UDP-led Meghalaya People’s Front (MPF) would be moving an amendment motion to the proposed Meghalaya Lokayukta Amendment Bill, 2013, which was tabled in the Assembly on Friday.
“We are not satisfied with the amendments proposed by the Government for a strong Lokayukta Act in the State. There are still many grey areas which need to be looked into,” UDP working president Paul Lyngdoh said on Saturday.
He said that the Opposition alliance would move an amendment motion on Tuesday when the House reassembles after the recess.
