Manager arrested

The State Police arrested the manager of Knight Inn, Demseiniong, Mithun Das (42) during a hotel checking on Sunday under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act. The police also found Marysha Shangpliang (23), Deitybanylla Lyndem (21) and Banshai Marwein (25) drinking inside Room No. 102. The police said that after inquiry it was learnt that they were involved in flesh trade. Police arrested them and the hotel manager Mithun Das. According to police, the customers’ cards which contained the phone numbers were seized. Police said that a case is being registered at Rynjah Police Station.

Assault

One Reshma D. Sangma lodged a complaint at Tura PS that four persons identified as Sangme, Sumi, Mona and Techi had uploaded a video clip in the Internet where the complainant was assaulted by the accused at Hawakhana, Tura on November 3 last year.

Theft

lOn April 14, unknown miscreants broke into the Office of Holy Child School at Madanrting, Shillong and stole one Lap top computer and a donation box.

lOn March 5 night, unknown miscreants stole 4,425 kg of TMT Iron Bars valued around Rs. 1, 98,459 from M/s Hills Cement Company at Mynkre, East Jaintia Hills.

Threat

On Apr 11 around 9.30 pm, Markus War threatened his wife viz., Smt. Silon Dhar with dire consequences at Nangbah (WJH).
