KSU demands police outpost

NONGSTOIN: The KSU West Khasi Hills District in a meeting held recently demanded the State Government to upgrade the Langpih police camp to a Police Outpost.

“The people of Langpih face constant threat from the Nepali dwellers in the area apart from the Assam Police which took the lives of four of our brothers. Their safety cannot be compromised with and necessary steps need to be taken to ensure that,” the KSU said.

The Union added that upgrading the police camp would equip the men in uniform with more power and authority to ensure a sense of safety among the Khasi residents of the area.
