SHILLONG: Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma on Thursday informed that final touches are being given to the Shillong Bypass road before its official inauguration.

Speaking to reporters here, the Chief Minister said that the bypass has been completed before the actual timeline which is very rare.

Dr Sangma, however, skipped the question on when and by whom the project would be inaugurated, saying that the inauguration will be held soon.

The Chief Minister stated that the State Government was able to push the implementing agencies like contractors and builders to complete the project within the timeline.

“There is a visibility in the commitment level from the side of the Government,” he added.
