In two separate news items which appeared in The Shillong Times issue dated April 14 and 16, 2013, it was mentioned that this was the 52nd year of the Shad Suk Mynsiem celebrations. The same should have read as 102nd year of the celebration. The error is regretted

The Shillong Times first appeared as a tabloid weekly on 10th August 1945 under the editorship of Late Sudhindra Bhusan Chaudhuri. In 1958 it was converted to a Daily. Owing to financial constraints, within six months it reverted back to a weekly.
