U19 cricket: St Edmund’s to clash with Laban Bengalee School in final

SHILLONG: St Edmund’s School defeated Jailroad Boys School while Laban Bengalee School defeated Buddha Vidyala School in the semifinal matches of the 5th Babu Ondromoni Dkhar Memorial (Under-19) Inter School Cricket Tournament 2013, organised by the Shillong Cricket Association, at the Cricket Grounds, Polo.

In the first match, St Edmund’s won the toss and elected to bat, scoring 151-6 in 25 overs. Hitesh scored 38 runs.

In reply Jailroad Boys made 139-6 in 25 overs. Bona scored 58 runs in a losing cause as St Edmund’s won the match by 12 runs.

In the second match, Buddha Vidyala won the toss and elected to bat but were bundled out for 93 runs in 22.5 overs. Purno scored 29 runs.

Batting second, Laban Bengalee scored 96-7 in 24.1 overs. Kaushik scored 35 runs in the three-wicket victory for his team.
